During our 55 years in business, we have made significant donations to the following organizations. We believe in giving back to our Upstate home and the neighbors who make it so special. Each year, we select a number of charities and events that shine a light on causes we feel passionate about supporting.
Spartanburg’s Mobile Meals is a faith-centered program that delivers hot meals to over 1,500 of our area shut-ins and homebound neighbors. Residents receive hope, compassion and nourishment by their dedicated Mobile Meals volunteers.
The Alzheimer’s Association S.C. Chapter provides education and support to those facing Alzheimer’s and dementia in our community, as well as caregivers, health care professionals and families. They’re also committed to advocacy and advancing research towards treatment, prevention and the hope for a future cure.
Ballet Spartanburg is a regional dance company with hard work and dedication at the core of their artistic mission. They have a deep commitment to education, training and community outreach, and have been thrilling audiences with ballet performances for over 50 years.
With a mission to inspire and enable all young people, the Boys and Girls Club of the Upstate provides over 1,100 area children with a safe place to learn and grow, be nurtured by ongoing relationships with caring adults, experience life-changing programs, and witness hope and opportunity.
The Chapman Cultural Center’s goal is to be a hub for cultural leadership and education by promoting the role of the arts in the Spartanburg community. They have reached over 40,000 students, held over 380 events annually and received over 350,000 visitors to their downtown location.
The vision of Children’s Cancer Center Partners of the Carolinas is to provide comprehensive support and caring compassion to families with children who are battling cancer. They provide funds for transportation, meals and lodging associated with cancer treatments, so children can receive the important treatment they need.
Converse College offers a distinctive, liberal arts undergraduate education focused on helping to foster passionate, service-oriented global citizens and professionals. 98% of their full-time faculty hold the terminal degree in their field, their small class environments ensure personal mentoring, and over 90% of their graduates earn their degree in four years or less.
Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Their mission is based on the principle “that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent and affordable home to live in dignity and safety.” They have built more than 138 homes over 33 years in the Spartanburg community
Jumpstart is a prison ministry that disciples to current and former prisoners, assisting with their re-entry to society. They partner with community churches and donors to address spiritual educational, employment, health care, housing and family relationship needs.
Project Hope Foundation was created by a group of mothers looking for services for their young sons with autism. The program now provides individualized education for a broad spectrum of ages and autism needs. The Project Hope Foundation’s award-winning therapies benefit not only the child but the whole family.
Chiropractors pay special attention to the spine and how it compromises the body’s ability to self-regulate and heal. Sherman College of Chiropractic offers comprehensive chiropractic education in a small class environment.
The SC School for the Deaf and Blind Foundation supports the on-campus and outreach goals of providing top-quality, advanced, special education to over 250 students at the Spartanburg campus. The S.C. School for the Deaf and Blind seeks to support the whole child and empower them to become world-class citizens through enriching experiences.
The Spartanburg Humane Society has been serving our county since 1964. They provide a variety of programs and services for both pets and their owners. Their goal is to provide excellent shelter and care to homeless animals in need.

St. Luke’s is a free and charitable clinic offering quality health care for residents of Spartanburg County who are uninsured. They provide primary medical care, physician-ordered medications, mental health counseling and patient education.
St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School is the longest running private school in Spartanburg county. Their goal is to promote the intellectual and spiritual development of students through a challenging curriculum, small class sizes and individualized instruction.
Stone Soup’s mission is to provide a safe haven for stray animals who are displaced due to natural and manmade disasters. They aim to stop the practice of dog fighting, and help educate the public about dog health, wellness and training.

The Josh Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund was set by Laurie and Johnny Lee to honor their son, Josh, a cross country student at USC Upstate who was tragically killed in a car crash in 2015. A 5K and Scholarship Fund has been created in his honor.
