Blue hues invite summer relaxation.

Blue hues invite summer relaxation.

Light blue.
Dark blue.
Sky blue.
Any hue of blue will do…it’s a color we’ve always been drawn to at Hodge Floors.

Blue can represent elements of nature like the sea and sky, creating feelings of calm and tranquility. On the flipside, stronger blue hues can invoke dramatic feelings of exhilaration.

When decorating, this versatile color has the power to both engage your eye and cool your spirit. So, when we came across this inspiration from our friends at Wesley Hall, we instantly felt all of the above.

At first glance, this room feels like a cool breeze flowing in on a hot summer day. From the clean lines of the tufted tuxedo style sofa in powder blue leather, to the bold blue and white linen fabric on the modern wingback chair. (We can’t help but also love the added nail trims and curves on this beautiful chair).

Next your eye moves to a touch of the unexpected that also grounds the room: a quatrefoil-shaped cocktail table. The grounding element of the room? The horizontal muted stripes that pull the whole space together without taking center stage. Overall, we love how fresh, intimate and interesting this room feels. With so many hues of blue, perhaps it’s the perfect summer inspiration for your next design project!
