The opening of the new Union Medical Center is a huge win for Union County. For a rural area like this, access to high-quality healthcare can make all the difference, and this new facility brings much-needed services closer to home.
Community-focused healthcare in Union County is nothing new. Long before this modern medical center, Union Community Hospital served the area from 1932 to 1975. What started as a small, converted home grew over the years thanks to the support of local churches and the determination of its medical staff.
The heart of Union’s healthcare has always been its people. The nurses, doctors, and staff at Union Community Hospital worked tirelessly to care for their community at large.
Now, almost a century later, that same spirit of care lives on in the new Union Medical Center. Opening in February 2025, this $55 million facility spans 99,600 square feet and will bring physician practices, outpatient services, and inpatient care under one roof.
Hodge Floors’ Contribution
At Hodge Floors, we’re honored to have installed flooring that created a warm, welcoming space built to last. Working with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s construction team, we installed Interface LVT and carpet and Mannington LVT throughout the facility.
From hospital staff walking long shifts to patients and families visiting loved ones, every detail matters—and that includes flooring that’s both durable and comfortable.
We’re proud to have been a part of this project that will serve Union County for generations to come.
